How does it work?

Trade in an eligible device at any DirectD outlet. For in-store trade-ins, you'll receive instant credit toward your new purchase on the same receipt.

What devices are eligible for trade-in?

Selected smartphones, tablets, and laptops are eligible, depending on the device, model, brand, and condition. For estimated trade-in values, tap the link above.

Retail Trade-In FAQ

Simply hand your device to our team at the outlet. If you agree with the quoted trade-in value, you must use the credited value on the same receipt.

Retail Trade-In T&C

  • All devices undergo a thorough inspection before being accepted for trade-in.
  • Pricing for devices with cracked screens or other damage will be confirmed after inspection.
  • Actual price may differ from the listed value depending on the extent of damage.
  • Trade-in device must be able to power on, or it will not be accepted.
  • Trade-in device must not be carrier-locked.
  • Customers must remove SIM cards and any Find My [device]/Google account locks before handing over the device for inspection.
  • Trade-in value can be used toward any item purchased in-store, across all brands and categories carried by DirectD.
  • Only the device itself is required — box and accessories are not necessary.
  • Customers are advised to back up all data before bringing in their device for trade-in.
  • Up to 5 devices are accepted per single purchase.
  • Trade-in is stackable with other in-store promotions.
  • DirectD reserves the right to amend these terms at any time without prior notice.

Online Trade-In T&C

  • Customers self-assess their device's condition online and receive an estimated trade-in value.
  • If the customer agrees, the amount is deducted directly at checkout.
  • All devices undergo a second, in-person inspection at a DirectD outlet before final acceptance.
  • Final pricing may differ based on the device's actual condition upon inspection.
  • Trade-in device must be able to power on, or it will not be accepted.
  • Trade-in device must not be carrier-locked.
  • Customers must remove SIM cards and any Find My [device]/Google account locks before handing over the device.
  • Trade-in value can be used toward eligible product ranges on the DirectD online store.
  • Only the device itself is required — box and charging cable are not necessary.
  • Customers are advised to back up all data before trade-in.
  • Only 1 device is allowed per online transaction.
  • Pick-up location cannot be changed once the order is confirmed.
  • Trade-in discount is stackable with other in-store promotions.
  • DirectD reserves the right to amend these terms at any time without prior notice.
